Legal
Privacy
If you only read the site, we do not ask for an account. Pages are assembled from public score feeds.
If you subscribe, we store the address you give us, the sports you picked, the timezone and send hour you chose, a confirmation token, and the time you confirmed. After you click a link from email, the browser keeps an HttpOnly session cookie so the token does not stay in the address bar. That is so we can send the morning paper and honor unsubscribe. We do not sell the list or use it for ads.
Confirmation is required before anything goes out. Every mail includes an unsubscribe link. You can also manage preferences from a link in the message.
Circulation
The masthead shows how many browsers have opened the paper, and how many have a page open now. That uses a random id in this browser and an anonymous sc-reader cookie so we do not count the same seat twice. It is not tied to an email address. Closing the tab drops you out of the live count.
Logs
The host may keep ordinary server logs (time, path, browser). We load Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to see which pages are slow or unused. We do not run ad pixels or sell that data.
Use of the scores and the morning mail is covered in the Terms.
